NEWARK, Del. — Surf Bagel recently celebrated the opening of its Christiana location with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. The event was attended by Surf Bagel team members, Chamber staff, Chamber ambassadors, and representatives from New Castle County Council.

“We are very fortunate to have the support of the New Castle County Chamber,” said Matt Patton, President of Surf Bagel. “It makes a big difference for new businesses to have a support system that can help make connections and identify opportunities to get involved in the community."

Surf Bagel Christiana officially opened its doors on June 13, 2026, and the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The people in the Newark community have given our team such a warm welcome,” said Wes Books, Vice President of Operations for Surf Bagel. “People are stoked to have a great breakfast and lunch option that provides fast, friendly service and a consistent product. We're just having fun making the best bagels around.”

Surf Bagel Christiana is located at 1103 Churchmans Road in Newark, Delaware and is open daily from 6:30am-2:00pm for Breakfast and Lunch.
